EDUCATION/CAREER PATHWAYS:

EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNTIES:
A minimum of two full-time roles with the Parramatta Eels will be on offer to Eels Institute graduates each year.
Upon successful completion of the Dual Diploma in Sports (Coaching) and Leadership and Management, you’ll be well-placed for careers in the sports industry, which incorporate coaching (i.e. community coach, high performance coach) and/or talent management (i.e. business manager, sport development manager).
Upon successful completion of the Dual Diploma in Sports (Coaching) and Project Management, you’ll be well-placed for careers in the sports industry, which incorporate coaching (i.e. community coach, high performance coach) and/or project management (i.e. project administrator, project leader).
The Parramatta Eels will also be offering a minimum of two full-time roles with the Club each year so you could already have your next position lined up upon completion.
To be eligible to apply for courses at Eels Institute, you must have completed Year 12 or hold an equivalent qualification; no ATAR is required. Applicants should possess strong digital skills, especially in Microsoft Office. Additionally, you’ll need a laptop with internet access for in-person classes, virtual classes and self-directed learning. While previous volunteer or work experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
At Eels Institute, we provide comprehensive training and assessment for dual qualifications in our specialised programs.
Students can enrol in either the Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Leadership and Management (SIS30521/BSB50420) or the Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Project Management (SIS50321/BSB50820). This ensures a well-rounded education that equips graduates with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their respective fields. The curriculum is designed to meet industry standards, providing students with both theoretical expertise and practical experience.
Both dual diplomas include up to 100 hours of work experience with the Parramatta Eels! Be prepared to immerse yourself in core club operations, such as:

You’ll also get hands-on experience supporting the delivery of Parramatta Eels home games at CommBank Stadium.
You’ll be required to attend in-person classes for 2 days (each week) at the Kellyville Memorial Park Community Centre, as well as virtual classes for 1 day (each week).
It’s also expected that you’ll dedicate additional time for self-directed learning (i.e. preparatory reading, completing assessment tasks) outside of these set class times.

The course duration is 12 months full-time with 2 days of face-to-face learning (per week) and an online component.

TAFE Queensland offer a comprehensive recognition of prior learning program which allows students to have their prior studies considered towards units in the dual diploma course.
