Complete up to 100 hours of practical work experience. Build your network and gain experience across a variety of departments at the Parramatta Eels.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Gain access to exclusive employment opportunities with the Parramatta Eels. A minimum of two students per academic year will be offered full-time employment with the Club.
The Club intends to offer a limited number of employment opportunities each academic year (typically a minimum of two roles), which may be made available to graduates of the Eels Institute programs within that given year.
These roles are subject to the Club’s operational needs and standard recruitment processes, with all candidates assessed on merit. These roles will typically be full-time, fixed-term (12-month) contracts, with the possibility of extension.
Depending on the dual diploma course that you select, you may be able to pursue career opportunities in the following departments upon completion:
• Game Development
• Fan Engagement
• Pathways Coaching Programs
• Game Day & Event Planning
• Community & High Performance Operations
• Partnerships, Marketing & Commercial Teams

To be eligible to apply for courses at Eels Institute, you must have completed Year 12 or hold an equivalent qualification; no ATAR is required. Applicants should possess strong digital skills, especially in Microsoft Office. Additionally, you’ll need a laptop with internet access for in-person classes, virtual classes and self-directed learning. While previous volunteer or work experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
Depending on the dual diploma course that you select, you’ll gain access to either 50 or 100 hours of practical work experience with the Parramatta Eels.
Be prepared to gain exposure and experience across departments, such as:
• Game Day & Events
• Consumer (Membership, Merchandise, Hospitality)
• Partnerships
• Community & Foundation
• Marketing, Digital & Content
• Academy, NRL & NRLW Football Programs
You’ll also get hands-on experience supporting the delivery of Parramatta Eels home games at CommBank Stadium.
For the Dual Diploma of Sport (Coaching) / Leadership & Management, you’ll have:
• x2 In-Person Days/Week (Mondays & Tuesdays: 9am-4pm)
For the Dual Diploma of Sport (Coaching) / Project Management, you’ll have:
• x2 In-Person Days/Week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 9am-4pm)
For the Dual Diploma of Project Management / Leadership & Management, you’ll have:
• x1 In-Person Day/Week (Thursdays: 9am-4pm)
• x1 Online Evening/Week (Mondays: 6pm to 9pm)
• x3 Saturday Intensives (across 12 months)
Your academic year will also be broken up into x4 terms (similar to school) so you’ll also have 1-2 weeks break between each term as well.
The following courses start in the final week of January:
• Dual Diploma of Sport (Coaching) / Leadership & Management
• Dual Diploma of Sport (Coaching) / Project Management
The following course starts in the mid-July:
• Dual Diploma of Project Management / Leadership & Management
All dual diploma programs are 12 months in duration.

TAFE Queensland offer a comprehensive recognition of prior learning program which allows students to have their prior studies considered towards units in the dual diploma course.
